Grace Removals, as it is known today, started back in 1911. Joseph and Albert Grace understood that the people of Sydney needed a reliable moving service. With their profits from their retail store, they purchased a small business in the inner Sydney suburb of Camperdown. Using two horse-drawn carts, they established one of Sydney’s first relocation companies.
In 1950, the company’s first expansion took place. Grace Bros Removals acquired a new branch in Brisbane, an exciting addition to the company. Before long, this new location also grew and the company continued to expand throughout Australia. Grace Removals has since become an international company, with over 40 locations throughout New Zealand and Australia as well as an extensive partner network across the globe.
Today we’ve grown to be one of the largest, privately owned removal companies in the world. We’ve not only expanded our branch locations, we’ve also added a comprehensive range of removals services, providing solutions for home, corporate, commercial and fine art customers. On January 17th I had Grace Removals come to remove my furniture from my unit in Auckland and to store it in Christchurch. I paid premium ultimate cover insurance. At the time of removal, the team ran out of stickers, and my unstickered goods were taken but not written on the inventory. On April 26th, I had my furniture assembled in my new rental in Christchurch. I noticed my washing machine was missing. During this past week I have noticed these things missing: a cabinet with teaching resources in, an ironing board, some kitchen ware, broom, clothes rack. I have rung up Grace Removals and was advised that as the goods were not stickered its hard to prove they were missing. I have emailed Grace Removals twice and have had no acknowledgement. I am absolutely appalled at the shocking service I have experienced. Please investigate this matter.

Was shocked when I saw the invoice!I moved house 10 times over the past 18 years and never had a such a high invoice with any other Removal Company!Also never had a contract of 9 pages to read with any other Company!I am partly to blame because I didnt read all off the 9 pages of the contract!I was to busy packing and organizing my move and totally stressed out because of it!I will never use Grace Removal Group Ltd again!
