Container Relocations pioneered the international method of moving household effects in shipping containers within New Zealand, giving Kiwis access to high-quality, cost-effective and environmentally responsible relocations. Our standard moving service utilises a modern 20ft / 38m3 shipping container, which our experience tells us is large enough for an average kiwi 3-4 bedroom home. Our fleet of small flat deck container trucks has been designed explicitly for deliveries into homes with limited space. In most circumstances, we do not need to lift the container to the ground, and it stays on the back of the truck for loading and unloading.
The container is for your exclusive use and is only loaded and unloaded once. There is no rehandling of your precious household goods, so the risk of damage is significantly reduced. If you prefer to pre-pack your household goods, then our team will still do all the heavy lifting and blanket wrap all your furniture and whiteware. Alternatively, we can offer you a full pre-packing service where our team supply the packing materials and do it all for you.
Need Storage? If you require short, medium or long-term storage, using one of our modern, fully waterproof and vented shipping containers is perfect. We store your household goods in a shipping container placed in one of our nine nationwide secure storage facilities.

From the very start the Staff at Container Relocations were fantastic right thru to the final delivery. It was a big move from Far North to central Canterbury. Timing worked perfectly for us. The boys at both ends were so careful with our furniture and boxes. Friendly happy People. Would give them my highest recommendation and at a price that actually affordable. Brilliant!!

Container Relocations were amazing right from the start, informative, friendly, lots of great advice on moving, excellent communication with updates of progress of our move, followed by the wonderful guys who packed and delivered our furniture. This was our first time for a full 4 bedroom house move which at the start was scary to say the least but now can only applaud all people involved from Container Relocations and 100% encourage people to give them a call

Highly recommend! Have worked with Avon from here twice now and he is very efficient and did a seamless job with transporting my furniture and belongings from Christchurch to Auckland. No broken items. Helpful movers. Lovely staff to deal with. Made the whole move much less stressful!
